The 2025 Women’s Tri-League+ Championship was conducted by the Northern Ohio Golf Association on Monday at Columbia Hills Country Club. Five associations from the Northern Ohio area competed in an Individual Stroke Play tournament and a team competition with 12 players per team that would take the six best scores from each association.
The Women’s Akron District Golf Association team was able to secure a 13-shot win on Monday at Columbia Hills. The six team scores that were used all finished in the Top 20 Overall. Those six scores came from Emily Baumgartner, Suzi Spotleson, Alison Cress, Gail Hackett, Becka Kasapis, and Chris Allred.
Emily Baumgartner not only led her team to a victory on Monday, but was able to make a three-shot comeback on the back-nine to win the Overall Individual Stroke Play as well. Baumgartner was around the top of the leaderboard all day, but struggled closing out the front-nine, making bogey on two of the final three holes.
Emily knew she would have to make a run, and she did just that, posting a bogey-free 33 on the back-nine to finish at 1-under par 72 and win the Overall Division by two-shots over her teammate Suzi Spotelson and defending championFiona Connor.
