The Northern Ohio Golf Association hosted its first ever Primepay Net Series Par 3 Championship at the NOGA Headquarter’s home course, the North Olmsted Golf Club. Eighteen players showed up Wednesday for a few hours of fun and sunshine.
David Eli of Gleneagles Golf Club and Kim Tweardy from Elyria Country Club tied for the top spot. Both David and Kim posted Net 27, 2-under par and two shots clear of the next closest player.
Eli would take full advantage of the strokes he was allocated, posting three net birdies and a net eagle. A net bogey on the last hole forced Eli into a share of the top spot instead of an outright victory.
Tweardy, who was in the group just behind Eli, would keep pace throughout the afternoon, posting four net birdies on her way to a share of the win at NOGC.
In the Five Iron Golf Closest-to-the-Pin Contest at North Olmsted Golf Club, Kathy Sisson won the $250 Five Iron Golf Gift Card with the closest approach of the day to 2 feet on the 95-yard par-3 2nd hole. This Five Iron Golf CTP contest will be run at every NOGA Net event in 2025, with a $250 card up for grabs each time.
The next event on the NOGA Net Series schedule is the 2025 NOGA Primepay Net Four-Ball #2 at Silver Lake Country Club on Wednesday, July 21st.
