SCAGA Changes 2011 Spring Classic to One Round

Stark County Amateur Golf AssociationThe Stark County Amateur Golf Association announced today that the 2011 Spring Classic — originally scheduled as a 36-hole two-day individual stroke play event — will now be played as a single round 18-hole tournament.

The revised SCAGA Spring Classic event will be played on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at The Sanctuary Golf Club in North Canton.

SCAGA director Jeff Barbas also announced a reduced tournament entry fee of $20 for the event, with $5 of that entry fee going toward closest-to-the-pins prizes on all of the par 3s, good for gift certificates at Chippewa.

Additionally, an optional flighted cash skins of $20 will be available.

The Sanctuary Golf Club will be charging $35 w/cart or $28 walking (these are discounted rates from their normal fees).
