A story in the Akron Beacon Journal’s Ohio.com added further speculation from golf writer John Feinstein about event changes coming to Firestone.
Feinstein indicates that the Bridgestone Invitational will exit Firestone Country Club after the 2018 event, and that the Senior Players Championship is set to replace the event at the South Course, at least for 2019.
