More than 340 players will take part in the 2022 Farmers National Bank Greatest Golfer Championship, a three-day 54-hole amateur tourney being played for the 13th time.
The players will be coming from 59 golf courses in six states, including all of the Valley courses. Play is in partnership with 16 area golf courses and a record 36 sponsors.
The week starts with Wednesday’s Morgan Stanley Long Drive/Par 3.
Then The Greatest Golfer Championship starts Friday with the Sweeney First Swing at Mill Creek and Squaw Creek Golf Courses.
Play continues Saturday at Youngstown, Trumbull, Tippecanoe and Avalon Lakes Country Clubs plus Mill Creek.
All of it leads to the best 96 players advancing Sunday to the Championship Round hosted by The Lake Club and Annika Sorenstam’s Fizzy Beez.
Winners will be toasted at the HBK Last Putt Party hosted by Kufleitner Automotive Group, Miller Lite and The Sports Grille at Cranberry.
