New names appear at the top of the Cleveland Metroparks Golf Player of the Year standings, as five of the previous top six players earned no points at the recent Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship.
Propelled into first place with a runner-up finish at the GCAC is Jimmy Wild, who is now leading with 101 points. Wild moved up from the ninth position.
Niko Anagnost now sits in second place with 97 points after a tie for third at the GCAC.
Previous leader Jack Garswood now sits in third place with 85 points.
On the senior side, Allen Freeman maintains his top spot with 62 points, while Howard Clendenin moves into a tie for third with his tie for third at the GCAC.
Just two more events remain this season to earn points in the CMG Player of the Year Series: the Stableford at Seneca on Saturday, August 21; and the 2-Player Bill Barbour Cup at Sleepy Hollow on September 11th…
