Barberton Kid to Compete at Augusta National

Nolan Haynes9-year old Nolan Haynes of Barberton will compete at Augusta National Golf Club in the inaugural Drive, Chip & Putt Championship on Sunday, April 6th.

Haynes won the Boys Age 7-9 category at the Illinois regional to earn his way to Augusta with a score of 124. He was first in driving and chipping and third in putting, resulting in four medals at the qualifier.

Haynes’ personal golf website is here.

The event is sponsored by the USGA, the PGA of America and Augusta National Golf Club. A list of all the junior players who qualified is here.

The championship will be shown on the Golf Channel starting at 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 6th.
