Alex Rodger from Maketewah Country Club earned the title by four strokes after 36-holes of the Greater Cincinnati Golf Association’s 2026 GCGA Metropolitan Mid-Amateur Championship at Traditions Golf Club at 6-under par 138.
Rodger’s opening round of 8-under-par 64 set the stage for a competitive event. Rodger finished round one bogey-free with six birdies and an eagle highlighting his day.
Rodger used his momentum from day one to finish his final round just 2-over to earn his victory.
After finishing 3-over-par during round one, Brennen Walsh came ready to play on his home turf during the final round. Walsh carded six birdies on the day and finished 5-under-par 67 to earn his runner-up position by just one.
