The 2026 Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship not only came down to the final hole, but also the final stroke.
2024 Champion Lucas Liberatore persevered to earn the John Fiander Cup once again in 2026. Liberatore continued steady play over the three days for a total of 214, even par.
Liberatore said his shot of the day that gave him confidence down the stretch was his approach on 16 that allowed him a tap-in birdie. Liberatore was also the only player in the field to have at least 2 of the 3 rounds at par or better.
Tied for second, Bryan Yeo and Ryan Writz finished just one stroke back. The low round of the final day was accomplished by Andrew Riggs with an impressive 68.
