Division I Girls Results
Magnificat was the favorite going into the Division I Girls State Tournament at NCR Country Club in Kettering after their consistent team finishes throughout the season. The Blue Streaks didn’t disappoint. The girls finished with a team score of 301 on the first day, placing them just eight shots ahead of Walsh Jesuit and nine shots ahead of Dublin Jerome.
With team scores so close, round 2 proved to be an exciting one. The Blue Streaks managed to pull through for the win, shooting a team score of 292, led by junior Calli Reed, who finished 3-under-par 67 in her final round.

The individual title was never a question. Olentangy‘s Jodie Han kicked off the tournament with an impressive 6-under-par 64. The junior carded seven birdies and a front-nine score of 30 in her first round.

Division II Boys Results
The Division II Boys State Tournament was anyone’s to win after the first round on Firestone Country Club’s North Course in Akron. Archbishop Alter led by five with a 305 to kick off the event. River View, who trailed just behind with a 310, wasn’t going to let the Knights have the win so easily, though.
The River View Bears followed up their +22 with a team score of 290 (+2) that overcame the five-shot deficit. While the team had consistent play throughout the full line-up, freshman Lucas Massa posted an impressive 4-under-par 68 in his final round to earn a runner-up finish individually, which ultimately helped push his team to win the event.

The individual title was never certain either, as Round 1 left several players in contention. One of these players was Grady Short, a Senior at Archbold. Short earned his spot in the State Tournament as an individual and never gave up, even after finishing Round 1 at 2-over-par 74. With it being his last high school event, Short left nothing on the course, carding seven birdies and finishing at 5-under-par 67 during round 2 to win the event by just one stroke over Massa.
