It was a perfect day for golf at Marion Country Club for the second day of the 49th WOSGA Ohio Girls Junior Championship.
Meadow Tian, pictured above, took advantage of the conditions right from the jump late Monday morning, posting an eagle on the par-5 first hole. The Illinois Women’s Golf commit was able to put herself in the driver’s seat going into the final day after posting a tournament record 66. Meadow is currently the only player under par through the first two days, and will look to add another tournament win to her impressive junior golf resume.
Elizabeth Coleman will start the final day of the tournament the same way she started the second day, in solo second place. The rising Senior at Highland High School in Medina posted a second round 74 that included three birdies. Coleman will look to put the pressure on Tian early tomorrow in the final grouping.
Rounding out the final grouping for the third day is 13 year old Taylor Harstine, who has put together an impressive season so far. Harstine, who is coming off a win in the 13-15 year old division at the last COGA Tour event, also posted a 74 on Monday. She currently sits five strokes back of the lead heading into the final day at Marion Country Club.
The final day of the 49th WOSGA Ohio Girls Junior will start tomorrow morning with a 9:00am shotgun.
