Dave Kilgore and Matt May went out early on Saturday morning and posted a lead they never gave up to win the Open Flight in The Greatest Golfer’s 2025 Belleria Pizza 2-Player Better Ball at the Links at Firestone Farms in Columbiana.
A sold-out field of 84 players toiled against two-club winds and a 39-degree feel in the kickoff to the 2025 Farmer National Bank Greatest Golfer season. Gross flights were set by teams’ combined handicaps for scoring.
Kilgore and May carded a 66 to win by one shot over 2024 champs Ryan Sam + Rocco Turner. J.F. Aber + Nick Pidgeon and Brandon Pluchinsky + Nolan Snyder finished T3 with 68.
“It was just cold, but a lot of fun,” said Kilgore. “All and all, it was a good round. Did I mention it was cold?”
