RESULTS: 2025 NCJT Tour Championship

The North Coast Junior Tour hosted their Tour Championship on Wednesday and Thursday at Quail Hollow.

(Disclaimer. The following story is a fictitous account. Zack Snyder is a fine young man and lover of all of God’s creatures)

In a rapidly developing story regarding the senseless assassination of a local goose, an anonymous whistleblower has come forward with testimony that directly contradicts Zack Snyder’s claim that his broken and projectiled club head played no part in the demise of the goose. The goose has now been identified as Brampton, Ontario resident “Carl” who summered at Quail Hollow Golf Resort and Planned Community since 2016.

According to the whistleblower, who we will call “Ethan O” to protect his anonymity, Snyder not only caused the death of the goose, but orchestrated the attack well in advance of the event. Said Ethan, “I warmed up next to Zack on the range and he was muttering about a goose that he thought was mocking him after a bad shot during his warm-up.” Ethan continued, “At one point, he went back to his bag and seemed like he was sawing his golf club near the head, I mean, seriously, I’ve heard of driver heads coming off, but an iron? That’s intentional.” When the twosome got to the third hole, Snyder had his chance for revenge and took it, according to the whistleblower. “He had crazy eyes, I’ve never seen him like that before.” While video of the event is not available, below is an artistic recreation.

Alleged goose assassin Snyder could not be reached for comment, we assume he has fled the area.

This story is developing.

Riding the momentum of a first score of two-under par that included a walk-off eagle on 18, Michael Fahey (Wadsworth) won the overall championship with rounds of 69-82–151. While his game wasn’t as crisp in round two on The Weiskopf Course at Quail Hollow Country Club, Fahey was able to hold off a charging Zack Snyder (Avon). Snyder (78-74-152) was in position to force a playoff after back to back birdies on 15 and 16 but bogied the final hole preserving the 1 shot win for Fahey. Fahey’s round included birdies on holes 6, 12 and 15 but opened the door for the field with back to back triple bogeys on holes 8 and 9. In the end, Fahey steadied the ship and closed his round playing the last 7 holes at 1 over par. Andrew Engler (Mentor) had 2 birdies and his second eagle of the tournament on the Weiskopf course in round 2 to finish 3rd with 80-76–156.

Harrison Tugeau (Cleveland Heights) had 81-78–159 to win the Boys 15 and under division. Harrison had 4 birdies over the 36-hole competition. First round leader Luke Chluda (Hudson) was 2nd with 78-83–161. Liam Siko (Mentor) was 3rd with 93-73–166.

Elena Varga (Hudson) repeats as champion of the Girls 19 & Under division with 77-83–160. Elena had an uncharacteristic second nine in oppressive heat at Quail. Her 160 finish was one stroke better than her championship total of 1 year ago. Keira Chang (Chagrin Falls) was 2nd with 83-84–167.
