The 2026 Greatest Golfer adult season opened in style Saturday, May 16, as the annual Belleria Struthers 2-Player Better Ball Tournament brought a packed field to Links at Firestone Farms.
The championship division delivered the drama everyone expected, with the top teams separated by only a handful of strokes. Playing over a 6,400-yard layout, Ryan Sam + Rocco Turner and Blake Prince + Joey Cilone emerged as co-champions after both teams carded a stellar 66.
Just one shot back, 2025 champs Matthew May + Dave Kilgore, Jason Dickey + Jessie Ritchie, and Jimie Collins + Michael Thomas shared third place with a 67.
Playing just over 6,000 yards, Flight 2 showcased another tightly contested race. Mike Moore + Dave Morgan captured the division title with a strong round of 69. Finishing just behind them were Bob Haseley + Richard Horvath, who also posted 69 and remained in contention throughout the afternoon. Third place belonged to brothers Billy Loomis + Charlie Loomis at 70.
Flight 3 produced the lowest score of the entire tournament, as William Heid and Hank Morris stole the spotlight with a brilliant 65 — aided primarily by Morris taking advantage of the 5,700-yard seniors layout. Second place in Flight 3 ended in a tie at 71 between Eric Rapp + Sean Pregibon and the team of Lucian Clewell + Andrew Batchelor.
