Teams of Lucas Murray + Ryan Gutowski and Ronnie Aniel III + Jacob Scharret each carded four-ball rounds of 9-under-par during the 2026 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Qualifier at Avon Oaks Country Club in Avon on Thursday. Both teams earned qualifying spots in the 2027 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship at Erin Hills in Erin, Wisconsin, May 22-26, 2027.
Three teams tied for third place at 8-under-par, forcing a sudden-death playoff for the alternate spots. Ultimately, Paul Day + Chris Coleman earned the first alternate spot. The second alternate spot went to Andrew Kaye + Brody Simms.
