2026 U.S. Senior Amateur Qualifying took place on Thursday at Miami View Golf Club in Cleves, Ohio, where 46 senior golfers competed for a chance to earn one of two qualifying spots into the 71st U.S. Senior Amateur Championship. The Championship will be held August 29–September 3 at Baltimore Country Club’s East Course in Lutherville, Maryland.
Alan Jones of Tullahoma, Tennessee, and Cincinnati native Chris Straley each earned a place in the Championship after carding even-par 71s.
Joe Hillman of Zionsville, Indiana, also finished at even par and will serve as the first alternate. Kevin Shepherd of Maineville, Ohio, finished one stroke back at 1-over-par 72 to earn second alternate honors.
