The Northern Ohio Golf Association hosted the 12th U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Qualifier at Shawnee Country Club in Lima on Thursday. Nine teams of women competed for their chance to play in the 2027 Championship at Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, VA, May 15-19, 2027.
The competition was tight throughout the day with minimal margin for error. Ultimately, Northern Kentucky University sophomore Cammy Reed and University of Toledo junior Clare Yeazell took the title and the sole qualifying spot.
Reed and Yeazell carded a combined six birdies throughout the day and only one bogey to finish with a 4-under-par 68. The pair barely edged out sisters Avery and Whitney French, who carded a 3-under-par 69, earning them the first alternate position.
The final alternate position was earned by the team of Emery Warner and Riley Johnson, who finished with an even-par 72.
