Pickerington’s Carson Bellish birdied two of his final threes holes to card an even-par 72 and claim the 2026 Ohio Amateur Championship by two strokes at The Virtues Golf Club.
Kent’s Liam Curtis entered the final round with the lead but stumbled out of the gate, making bogey on each of his first three holes. Despite the slow start, Curtis remained atop the leaderboard by one stroke at the turn. A final-round 5-over-par 77 dropped him into a tie for second with Dublin’s Luke Siefker.
Bellish and Curtis were tied for the lead at 7-under through 11 holes before Bellish seized control down the stretch. His defining moment came on the par-4 17th, where he chipped in for birdie to take a two-shot advantage over Curtis and Siefker heading to the final hole.
Siefker made the biggest move of the day, firing a 3-under-par 69 after posting two birdies on the front nine. Beginning the day eight strokes off the lead, he charged up the leaderboard to finish tied for second, just two shots behind Bellish.
