Nolan Haynes came to the 2026 Summit County Amateur Championship ready to defend his title. The Barberton native finished Round 1 at 4-under-par 67. This put him just 1 back of Zach Huscusson‘s opening round of 5-under-par 66.
Haynes hit the ground running during Round 2, carding 3 birdies on his front nine to turn at 1-under-par. The rising junior at Kent State University kept it consistent on the back nine, finishing even-par for a final round score of 1-under.
Haynes’ 2-day score of 5-under-par bettered Chase Forsyth‘s two consistent rounds of 2-under-par, 69 by just 1.
For the second year in a row, Haynes earned the title of Summit County Amateur Champion at Good Park Golf Course in Akron.
