Monday concluded WOSGA’s 9th Women’s Ohio Mid-Amateur Championship at Firestone Country Club in Akron.
Emily Holzopfel came to compete this weekend. The Rayland native carded 11 birdies and an eagle over the 3-day tournament to secure the title, finishing round 3 with an even-par 70. Holzopfel was 2-under for the tournament and was clear of second by an impressive 16 strokes.
Second-place finisher, Sabrina Coffman, was 14-over for the 3-day tournament. Rounds of 80, 73, 71 earned Coffman runner-up honors.
Rounding out the podium, Malonie Oats carded an 81 for round 3 to earn her a third-place finish.
