Garrett Frank led the way in the Championship Division after Round 1 of the 2026 NOGA Great Lakes Auto Tour Championship, played Sunday at Firestone Country Club’s Fazio Course.
Frank carded a 2-under-par front nine to finish at 1-under-par 69 going into round 2. Frank edged out even-par finishers Doug Barber and Rick Deichert by just one shot. The three will be the featured group during Monday’s round at Firestone Country Club’s South Course.
In the Senior Division, Howard Clendenin took an early lead after shooting an impressive 4-under-par 66. Clendenin took home course advantage to the next level after carding six birdies on the day to take the lead over second-place finisher Robert Schustrich by six strokes.
Tom Baugh led the Super Senior Division after round 1. His 8-over-par 78 edged out Mike Cassell by just one stroke going into the final round.
