Round 2 of the Greater Cincinnati Golf Association’s 117th Tony Blom Metropolitan Amateur Championship concluded on Tuesday.
Alex Ebel and Brandon Conner led the field with a pair of 6-under, 137s. Ebel and Conner will take the second and third seeds in the match play bracket on Wednesday. Charlie Mullin will return to the Championship to defend his title and will begin match play as the tournament’s No. 1 seed.
It took extra holes to punch the final tickets to match play. After a six-player playoff for the final three spots in the bracket, Jax Denton, Randall Davis, and Ben Myers emerged victorious to claim the No. 62, No. 63, and No. 64 seeds. Now, it’s on to match play.
