While Moraine Country Club proved to be a tough track for the field of eighty-six women at the 103rd Women’s Ohio Amateur Championship on Monday and Tuesday, Toledo native Emma Myers cruised through round 2 with a 7-under-par 65.
The rising sophomore at the University of Findlay carded 6 birdies, an eagle, and just 1 bogey on the day to bring her to a 2-day total of 4-under. Myers turned at 5-under, 31, and kept the momentum through the end, earning her the top seed in the match play bracket.
“My putting was really good,” said Myers. “I kept a good speed [on the greens] and made easy tap-ins for par and birdie.”

Delaware, OH’s Meadow Tian held on to her 2nd place spot after shooting 2-under during Tuesday’s round while Galena’s Mia Raines finished 1-under to claim the 3rd seed in match play.
The Women’s Ohio State Golf Association, in conjunction with the Northern Ohio Golf Association and Miami Valley Golf, will conduct match play beginning on Wednesday morning at 7:30 am with the top 32 players. The cut line for match play was +16 (160).
