Cool, misty conditions greeted players at the 2026 Ohio Doubles Championship on Saturday, October 10, as teams competed across four categories on the recently refreshed North Course at NCR Country Club in Dayton.
In the Women’s Division, Susie Stein and Julie Tabar secured the title after a playoff with Tacy McDonough and Evelyn Johnson. Both teams finished with a score of 4-under-par 66.
The Mixed Division title was won by Britt Platt and Brandon Knutson with an impressive score of 12-under-par 58.
The Senior Men were led by Ray McNiece and Jeff Luken. The pair carded a final score of 4-under-par to earn the top spot.
The Men’s Division was won by Cyle Halbrook and Ryan Hufnagle, who finished 10-under-par. The team won by just one stroke with their final score of 60.
The four Championship teams earned the opportunity to advance to the U.S. Doubles Golf National Championship, which takes place October 26–27 at The Bear’s Club in Jupiter, Florida.
About Doubles Golf®
Launched in 2020, Doubles Golf® gives the familiar two-player scramble, also known as “Better Shot,” a structure for leagues and championship competition. Partners each play a shot, select the better result, and continue from that spot until the ball is holed.
Built around nine-hole rounds, the format is well suited to evening leagues and provides a pathway from local play to state and national championships. The program includes Men’s, Women’s, Mixed, and Senior categories, with the Senior category open to players aged 60 and older.
