A field of 72 players teed off at Piqua Country Club on Monday, June 29, for the Dayton District Women’s Golf Association Twin Best Ball. The event was 18 holes of stroke play with the two best balls used for scoring. The Twin Best Ball included three flights in both Gross and Net Divisions.
In the Gross Division, Tee Pazitney, Molly Horstman, Alee Martin, and Amy Gillen won Flight 1 while Julie Smolin, Katie Blumhorst, Sara Mahoney, and Lindsey Murray captured the win in Flight 2. Renee Arana, Christine Gangaware, Amanda Haslit, and Anissa Kanzari were victorious in Flight 3.
In the Net Division, Ann Kneisly, Annette Clampitt, Carolyn Mindel, and Patricia Clark were the champions of Flight 1 while Marie Greene, Kim McCrae, Linda Miller, and Nicole Fox secured Flight 2. Vivan Bibler, Marianna Wright, Patty Hobson, and Tina Delaet won Flight 3.
The Closest to the Hole winners included Anissa Kanzari on hole 7, Marty Dale on hole 9, Julie Smolin on hole 14, and Cheryl Davis on hole 17.
The next event on the DDWGA schedule is the DDWGA Classic on Monday, August 17, at Miami Valley Golf Club.
