The Northern Ohio Golf Association headed to Bowling Green to host the Toledo Series Individual Stableford, as well as the Great Lakes Auto Scratch Series Stroke Play #2.
Sixty-four players competed in the fierce wind conditions at Stone Ridge Golf Club on Thursday, June 18th. The first tournament of the day was the Stroke Play #2. Jack Hanus was up for the challenge, posting an even-par 72 to capture the Championship Division title.
Howard Clendenin posted an impressive 3-under par 69 to secure the Senior Division by five strokes. He came ready to play despite the challenging conditions, shooting a bogey-free round. In the Super Senior Division, Lou Boarman separated himself with a six-over 78 for a three-shot victory.
The next event on the NOGA Great Lakes Auto Scratch Series is the Scratch Alternate Shot at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course on July 27th.
In the second tournament of the day, the Toledo Series Individual Stableford, players competed for both net and gross titles.
Chris Okeson fired a four-over par 76 to score 32 stableford points. He held a solid lead all tournament, winning the Gross Amateur Division by 18 points. In the Senior Amateur Division, Tom Bollenbacher led the way with a solid 29 stableford points.
In the Net Amateur Division, Anthony Haney & Eric Schwartz will split the money, both securing 25 points. The Senior Amateur Division was led by Rick Twining, who shot a net 79 to secure 29 stableford points.
The next event in the NOGA Toledo Series is the Two Person Scramble #1 at Belmont Country Club in Perrysburg on August 13th.
