On Monday, the Northern Ohio Golf Association conducted its 2026 Great Lakes Auto Scratch Alternate Shot event at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Brecksville.
There was a tight race in the Championship Division. The team of Rick Deichert and Ryan Wirtz started the day off strong with an eagle right out the gate. The pair finished the front nine 1-under-par. Daniel Mosher and Lucas Liberatore were close behind, making the turn at even-par.
Both teams kept a steady pace throughout the day and finished 2-over-par to tie for the title.
In the Senior Division, Mike Belacic and Scott Winckowski won by a 1-stroke margin. The pair started with a birdie and continued with consistent play to finish just 6-over-par and win their Division.
The next event in the Great Lakes Auto Scratch Series is the Stroke Play #3 at Medina Country Club in Medina on August 3rd.
