Cory Kumpf, Blake Sattler win Pro-Assistants at Chagrin Valley CC
Cory Kumpf and Blake Sattler of Brookside Country Club won the Northern Ohio PGA Pro-Assistants on Tuesday at Chagrin Valley Country Club with a 6-under-par 65 on the par-71 Stanley Thompson design. The duo recorded six birdies during the round to finish one shot clear of the field in the one best ball of two (fourball) format.
Three teams tied for second place at 5-under 66: Matt Urban and Michael Balcar of Brandywine Country Club, Rob Moss and DJ Holub of Pepper Pike Club, and Rob Moss and Mark Weitendorf of Pepper Pike Club.
Mark Evans and Todd Casabella of Barrington Golf Club, Meg Glass-Stem and Kyle Buzaki of Glenmoor Country Club, and Cory Kumpf and Matthew Nimsuwan of Brookside Country Club shared fifth place at 4-under 67.
The next Northern Ohio PGA team event is the 41st Ohio Senior Open at Firestone Country Club followed by Club Car / Pepsi Stroke Play #3 at Brookside Country Club.
