2026 U.S. Senior Amateur Qualifying took place at Silver Lake Country Club in Silver Lake on Tuesday. The seniors teed it up with hopes of earning their spot to compete in the 71st U.S. Senior Amateur Championship held at Baltimore Country Club (East Course) in Lutherville, Maryland.
Jeff Mallette of North Canton came out on top and earned himself a qualifying spot after finishing 3-under for the event. Mallette carded 5 birdies throughout the day to shoot his 69.
The second qualifying spot was earned by Columbus native Dave McKee. McKee remained steady throughout the day as he carded a pair of 35s to shoot his 2-under-par 70.
Finishing just behind McKee at 1-under were Brian Schubert and David Trier. Schubert will serve as the first alternate while Trier is the second alternate.
