Blake Sattler and Mike Stone won their respective divisions in Northern Ohio PGA Stroke Play #6 on Monday, July 27, at Union Country Club. Sattler, Director of Instruction at Brookside Country Club and a member at Union Country Club, shot a 3-under 69 to win the Regular Division, while Stone, Director of Instruction at Belmont Country Club, posted a 4-under 68 to take the Senior Division.
Sattler carded rounds of 34-35 to finish two strokes clear of Sean McGuire and Ken Keller, both of Pepper Pike Club, who tied for second at 1-under 71. Evan Bryan, Derek Smith and Michael Balcar tied for fourth at 1-over 73.
Stone closed with a 3-under 33 on the back nine after an opening 35 to finish at 4-under. Sean Kenily of Union Country Club and Dennis Miller, PGA of America Life Member, tied for second at 2-under 70, while Jon Jones of Youngstown Country Club finished fourth at even-par 72.
Mary Suitca of Tannenhauf Golf Club won the Women’s Division with a 7-over 79.
The next stop on the NOPGA Schedule is Club Car / Pepsi Stroke Play #7 at Lakewood Country Club, followed by the NOPGA Professional Championship the following week at Tippecanoe Country Club.
