The Lake Club to Host U.S. Open Local Qualifier Through 2029

The Lake Club in Youngstown has been selected to host the U.S. Open Local Qualifier for the next three years, bringing one of golf’s most prestigious qualifying events to the Mahoning Valley. The qualifier will be conducted by the Northern Ohio Golf Association in conjunction with the United States Golf Association.

The multi-year agreement reflects The Lake Club’s commitment to championship-caliber golf and provides aspiring professionals and amateurs with the opportunity to compete for a coveted spot in U.S. Open final qualifying.

“We are honored and proud to have been selected to host a U.S. Open Local Qualifier at The Lake Club,” Don Confoey, PGA, Director of Golf at The Lake Club, said.

“It will be a great opportunity to showcase our golf course and our club while welcoming many of the area’s finest amateur and professional golfers. We look forward to working with NOGA over the coming years and doing our part to make this a great Championship for the players.”

The event is expected to attract talented golfers from across the region while showcasing The Lake Club as one of Northeast Ohio’s premier Championship venues.
